Neighbor To Neighbor

Schedule:Date and Time: Sunday, March 29, 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Location: Monterey Community Center

Description: Join in for a gathering of Neighbor to Neighbor, a localized network designed to ensure no resident faces a crisis alone. Whether dealing with severe weather, power outages, or sudden social shifts, this group focuses on "deep organizing" to turn collective concern into positive action.

The goal of this initiative is to bridge the gap between formal emergency services and organic mutual aid. Neighbor to Neighbor aims to build a structured communication system and an inventory of neighborhood skills—ranging from medical training and translation to access to generators and chainsaws.

All are welcome to join in as we identify how to best support each other and build a sanctuary of resilience right here in Monterey. No prior experience is necessary—just a desire to look out for your neighbors!
